The old Krulc Inn

The Krulc Inn is the oldest restaurant in the Posavje region. It opened in 1529. According to oral sources, Matija Gubec, the leader of the Slovene-Croatian peasant revolt, dined there. The inn is located in the village of Mostec, only a stone’s throw from the Terme Čatež spa. Visitors can order warm brunches, lunches, a la carte menus, pizza and fish dishes, as well as home-made wines. In the winter season, every Thursday from 11 a.m. onwards, they offer roast piglet and lamb. Private events can be organized there. Next to the Krulc Inn, there is an electrical vehicle charging station.

The Krulc Inn is the oldest of its kind in the Posavje region, dating back to 1529. According to the oral tradition, Matija Gubec, the leader of the Croatian–Slovene Peasant Revolt dined there. The inn is located in the village of Mostec, a short distance from the Terme Čatež Spa. From there you can use a ferry boat to take you across the Sava River to the inn. They serve light meals, lunch, a la carte dishes, pizzas, fish and also offer homemade wines.

Closed groups are also welcomed. There is also an electric car charging station next to the Old Inn “Krulc”.

Every Thursday from May to September, after 11 am, suckling pig and lamb are served.
