On Sunday, September 22, the Banova Homestead in Artiče was buzzing with activity and culinary delights. The Institute for Entrepreneurship, Tourism, and Youth Brežice, in collaboration with the Tourist Society of Artiče, organized an event as part of European Mobility Week.
The first visitors arrived early in the morning and began preparing goulash. All five teams competing for the title of best goulash showcased their culinary skills, but in the end, the "Tourist Society of Artiče" team triumphed, impressing the expert jury with their unique goulash flavor.
The event opened with welcoming remarks from the organizers and an introductory musical performance by the Mixed Choir of KUD Artiče. At 9:00 AM, all gathered hikers set off on an approximately 11-kilometer hike along the Artiška Fruit Path. For the first time this year, a children's guided hike was organized, concluding with a treasure hunt and various activities for kids.
To ensure that the hikers were neither hungry nor thirsty, several refreshment stations were set up along the way, and more than 180 hikers wrapped up their active Sunday with a goulash feast and a fun program by the Hervol Ensemble upon their return to the Banova Homestead.
Activities for the youngest were provided by animators from the Youth Center Brežice and staff from the Posavje Museum Brežice. Throughout the event, visitors also had the opportunity to view the open Posavje Fruit Collection, as noted by ZPTM Brežice.
