The International Children's Singing Festival Brežice offers young talents the opportunity to showcase their singing abilities and encourages intercultural connections among young singers aged 6 to 17.
In June, auditions were held in Slovenia, Croatia, and online, with 141 young singers presenting their talents. Out of all the applicants, the expert jury faced a challenging task in selecting 53 semifinalists.
The young talents are divided into three age groups: 6-9 years, 10-13 years, and 14-17 years. They will compete in two semifinal evenings, which will take place on Friday, August 23rd, and Saturday, August 24th, 2024, at 6 PM at the Brežice Youth Center. The grand finale will be held on Sunday, August 25th, 2024, at 7 PM in the courtyard of Brežice Castle.
In the first part of the semifinals, a jury of three members, along with the audience in the hall as the fourth jury member, will select 12 finalists. In the second part, 13 finalists will be chosen, who will then perform in the grand finale of the 8th International Children's Singing Festival Brežice on Sunday, August 25th.
The ticket price, which includes three voting ballots for each age group and a free bottle of water, is a symbolic 5 EUR and will be sold at the entrance before the start of the semifinal or final evening.
