Ajdovska cave is located at the western edge of a dispersed settlement Silovec pri Sromljah. It became an archaeological site in 1959 when land owners found late Bronze age objects. At a closer research of the cave, traces from the Roman era were found as well. Before World War II and afterwards, the cave was used as a storage room for agricultural and winery tools and accessories. During the war a group of partisans of the Kozjansko division was hiding in the cave. The cave is located along the footway Sromeljska pot. At the nearby farm they will invite you to visit the chapel and the wine cellar.
